Swedish design - Zambian Craft

Yawama of Sweden's philosophy is to combine African craftsmanship with Swedish design. Through a partnership with the blogger Clara Lidstrom and the designer and stylist Anna Lidström, we have developed the concept Yawama Kids, a children's range that is unique in its kind. The collection includes products for children of all ages - that take into account environmental as well as producers.

Behind the production of soft toys are women in Zambia, which for each knitted animals get a much needed extra income. The women gather once a week to pick a new yarn for their work. Soft toys are knitted by 100% GOTS certified organic cotton yarn and stuffed with Oeko certified acrylic topping. Stuffed animals can be machine washed in lukewarm water, and then drip dried.
